Plot Summary

Sosu’s Call tells the story of a young Ghanaian boy named Sosu who cannot walk and uses a wheelchair. Because of this, some people in his community treat him differently, almost like he cannot contribute to village life.

But Sosu is far from helpless. One day, when the sea rises and a storm threatens the village, everyone panics. Sosu knows something must be done quickly. Even though he cannot run or move like the others, he uses what he has, his drum. With powerful beats, he calls for help. His drumming warns the villagers and brings people together to act fast, saving lives and property.

In the end, the village begins to see Sosu in a new light. They realize that every person has value, no matter their physical abilities.
