Welcome to African American Family Day!

Come join us at De Fremery Park for a day filled with family fun, celebration, and community. This event is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other African American families in a vibrant and inclusive setting.

Enjoy a variety of FREE activities, entertainment, and delicious food as we come together to honor our culture and heritage. From music and dance performances to games and workshops, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

Don’t miss out on this special day dedicated to celebrating the richness and diversity of the African American community. We can’t wait to see you there!

Yes…there will be porta-potties and porta-sinks to wash hands.

Yes, all food and entertainment is totally free?

Yes, all families are welcome. This is a celebration African American Family Day, which means we pride ourselves in principles of DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION of all backgrounds.

This event is sponsored by the African American Steering Committee of Health and Wellness.

Yes, this is an outdoor event. There will be chairs and tents provided. Dress for warm weather and also bring a sweater or jacket just in case the weather gets a little chilly. People are also welcome to bring their own blankets and chairs for the outdoor lawn.

All participants in the event consent to having their photos taken and possibly used in future media. Be advised that attendance at the event is consent to be possibly filmed or photographed.
